Long Tian Ching, ENG’95, W’95, WG’99, is an entrepreneur. He is Co-founder and Managing Director of Vance Group Ltd., a diversified business group based in Singapore with interests in biofuels, oleochemicals, packaged chemicals and nutraceuticals. Prior to founding Vance Group in 2005, Tian Ching spent almost a decade in investment banking as Vice President at Lazard. He specialized in mergers and acquisitions, where he managed more than US$5 billion worth of completed M&A transactions across Asia.
Tian Ching has an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School, where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar. He was also an undergraduate in the University of Pennsylvania’s Management and Technology program where he earned degrees in Computer Science and Engineering and Finance. Tian Ching is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Tian Ching co-founded the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Club of Singapore in 1997 and was its President for a number of years. He also helped to organize the last Wharton Global Forum held in Singapore in 2005.
