Anderson Tanoto, W’11, Organizing Committee Member
Anderson Tanoto, W’11, is an RGE Director, member of the RGE Executive Management Board and member of the executive committee of Asia Pacific Resources International Limited (APRIL). As member of the Board of Trustees of the Tanoto Foundation, Mr. Tanoto has driven various Foundation initiatives focused on leadership development.
Mr. Tanoto is closely involved in APRIL’s fibre operations and business transformation activities, providing strategic direction on the various sustainability and conservation initiatives undertaken by APRIL, which include the Riau Ecosystem Restoration (RER) programme and the Fire-Free Village Programme.
Mr. Tanoto was in May 2018 appointed Chairman for the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s (KADIN) Brazil Committee and is also its representative to Canada. An emerging business leader, Mr Tanoto has held memberships in the following:
- Tropical Forest Alliance 2020’s Southeast Asia Regional Committee
- Wharton Executive Board for Asia
- The World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Forests (2015 to 2016)
Mr. Tanoto was formerly a consultant at Bain & Company and holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
